Effects of Combust Planets

The Sun is the king of all planets and its impact is very meaningful and therefore, any planet that comes closer to it, loses its energy and natural factors and this phenomenon is known as the combustion of a planet. Also, the influence of the combust planet diminishes in spite of its presence in the exalted position, or Mool Trikona sign, etc. Actually, the planet is near the Sun within certain degrees and gets covered up by its light and thus, it is not properly visible at the horizon, and its main objective gets defeated and this is named planetary combustion.      

In the astrological scriptures, this is compared to a king who is so weak that in spite of having all the resources, is unable to do anything. This is the very reason that the combustion of planets in a horoscope is not considered to be auspicious because the very planet fails to perform its duty on time and a person has to face various challenges in life. Over and above, if the combust planet is stationed in a weak position or debilitated state, or comes in contact with a sinful planet, it becomes all the more unfavourable.  

When does the Planet Combust in Astrology?

In Vedic Astrology, it has been clearly mentioned that any planet can exist in 10 stages in any horoscope. These 10 stages signify brightness, health, happiness, power, peace, pain, poverty, confusion, and stiffness. Out of these stages, one is termed as combustion of a planet. If any planet is in the state of combustion in one’s horoscope then it is known as perplexity. All the nine planets revolve on their axis in the solar system and when these planets come near to the Sun in some special situation, they become combustible i.e. the effects get weaken. Let us now learn when the combustion of different planets takes place in the world of astrology.     

• The Sun combusts all the planets, but it never sets.
  
• Rahu and Ketu are shadow planets and therefore, they never get combusted.
  
• Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn combust by nearing the Sun. 
  
• When the Moon comes closer to the Sun by 12 degrees or a bit nearer by rotating on its axis, it combusts,
  
• Talking about Mars, it gets combusted when it nears the sun by 17 degrees or a little closer.
  
• Mercury meets combustion when it comes close to the Sun by 13 degrees or a bit closer. To a certain point, it can be 14 degrees. If Mercury is in its retrograde motion, it combusts even by 12 degrees.

If we see the position of Mercury from the orbit then it usually stays in the state of combustion as it is closest to the Sun and hence, the combustible state of Mercury is considered very common. The conjunction of the Sun and Mercury leads to the formation of Budhaditya Yoga, which blesses the natives with immense knowledge and great wealth.

Green Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) comes close to Earth Today

A recently discovered green comet will soon zip by Earth for the first time in 50,000 years. It was last visible in the night sky during the Stone Age.

Discovered on March 2, 2022, by astronomers using the Zwicky Transient Facility’s wide-field survey camera at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego County, California, the comet made its closest approach to the sun on January 12, according to NASA.

Named C/2022 E3 (ZTF), the comet has an orbit around the sun that passes through the outer reaches of the solar system, which is why it’s taken such a long route — and long time — to swing by Earth again, according to The Planetary Society.

The icy celestial object will make its closest pass by Earth between February 1 and February 2, around 26 million miles to 27 million miles (42 million kilometers to 44 million kilometers) away, according to EarthSky.

Even during its closest approach, the comet will still be more than 100 times the moon’s distance away from Earth, according to EarthSky.

As the comet nears Earth, observers will be able to spot it as a faint green smudge near the bright star Polaris, also called the North Star. Comets reflect different colors of light due to their current positions in orbit and chemical compositions.

Early morning skies, once the moon has set after midnight for those in the Northern Hemisphere, are optimal for viewing the comet. The space object will be more difficult to see for those in the Southern Hemisphere.

Depending on its brightness, C/2022 E3 (ZTF) may even be visible to the unaided eye in dark skies, but binoculars or a telescope will make the comet easier to see.

The comet can be distinguished from stars by its streaking tails of dust and energized particles, as well as the glowing green coma surrounding it.

The coma is an envelope that forms around a comet as it passes close to the sun, causing its ice to sublimate, or turn directly to gas. This causes the comet to look fuzzy when observed through telescopes.

After passing by Earth, the comet will make its closest approach of Mars on February 10, according to EarthSky.
