1.When Saturn is in the Lagna with no bindus the result is death or loss of property or great sickness
2.If Saturn is in debilitattion ,in the lagna or in an inimical house with more than 4 bindus and is aspected by a benefic,the person will have a long life

8.When Saturn is in his own house with 4 bindus and that happens to be the 2nd house or the 12th house and other malefics are in Trikona to the lagna,the person will be a beggar throughout life.
9When the lord of the 8th house from the lagna or Saturn,is in an ininical house or is combust and without any benefic aspect,the person will be a beggar life long

Ashtakavarga - Some important indications

Following are some important indications from the Sarvashtakavarga and Bhinnashtakavarga charts which would be of use :

1.When Jupiter transits the rasi where in the Lagna/Ascendant has highest number of Bindus in its BAV would favour the native in acquiring wealth,children and knowledge

Best times in the day for certain activities:

2.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Sun rises is the best time to do fire rituals.

3.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Moon rises is the best time to take upadesa of mantra.

4.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Jupiter rises is the best time to do financial transactions and do activities related to Children. The time is also best for attending learning courses,visiting spiritual gurus.

5.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Venus rises is the best time to plan outing for entertainment,for buying items of comfort and luxuries and vehicles.

6.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Saturn rises is the best time to start work involving labour.

7.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Mars rises is the best time to talk to younger Brothers,neighbours,play adventure sports.

8.The time of the day when that rasi which has the highest number of bindus in the BAV of mercury rises is the best time for sending important communications.

Buying Land

9.The direction indicated by the rasi having the highest number of bindus in the BAV of Mars is the best to buy lands.

Indications from the Divisional Charts :

Find out the aggregates of the BAV scores of all the Planets in each of the divisional charts. As each planet can have a maximum of 8 points,including lagna there would be 8 planets and the total would be 64.Find out the percentage which the aggregate BAV of Divisional chart holds to 64. You can judge which divisional chart is Strong.

When Jupiter and Saturn transit the rasis which have the highest number of Bindus in the SAV of the Divisional chart,then that aspect of life represented by the Divisional chart will improve surely.

Significations of that divisional chart would improve or suffer accordingly where in  there is a jump up or drop down in the SAV scores of  two rasis where there were transits of slow moving planets.The changes happen predominantly around the time of the transits. 

The best times in a person's life can be judged by the transits of  slow moving planets through the rasis having highest number of bindus.For example,if the native has a SAV score of 40 in Cancer,Saturn's BAV score being 5,then Saturn's transit through the rasi would result in the native having very positive results with respect to the Bhava it represents in his chart. 

Muhurtha and Ashtakavarga : 

The rasi which has a kendra/Trikona relation with the natal ascendant of the native has to be fixed as Muhurtha lagna for the activity. 

The Rasi having more SAV Score would be more favourable. The Muhurtha lagna should have more than 30 SAV score.

The tenth from the muhurtha lagna has to be checked for the SAV Score.

If the score is more than 30, then the intended ritual would go on successfully and would give excellent results.The muhurtha had to be fixed such that the BAV Score of most of the planets are above 4.These indications are to be seen in addition to the other standard principles in fixing the Muhurtha.

Election results are out in Punjab along with the other four states which went to Polls. The most shocking result was defeat of Congress in Punjab. In Punjab never before the Party in Power returned back after Polls unlike now.

Let us now see what his Ashtakavarga scores in D5 (Fame,Power and Authority) and D10(Profession) Chart,D4( Fortune) are showing in the current transit of Saturn in Libra.

From the above table of scores we can straight away deduce that he had less of Fortune,less of favorable indications of wrestling Power(Score of 29 in D5 is just over the average and obviously not sufficient to usurp power from the ruling party) and less of favorable indications in his Profession(Politics) and obviously he could not lead the Congress towards victory in the Punjab Polls.

While mentioning about the Ashtakavarga,I believe,Sage Parasara did not say that the Dasa-Antardasa should be considered for analysing upcoming events along with the ashtakavarga.

UP Elections - Divisional Charts - Transits - Ashtakavarga

The trends are out on UP Elections and it is clear that Mulayam Singh's Samaj Wadi Party is leading. I wish to analyse the trends in the light of the Transits in Divisional charts with Ashtaka Varga.I have used the Birth data of Mulayam singh Yadav,Mayawati and Uma Bharati which are as follows:

The following are the SAV Scores in the D5,D10 charts in Libra where Saturn is currently transiting, as per the above given birth data:

From the above table the indications are loud and clear that Mulayam Singh is a clear winner.Maya wati never had a chance to win with such low scores and Uma Bharati had some better scores,reflecting clearly the trends.

Now who says ashtakavarga is not applicable to divisional charts ???

Will Jaya Lalitha loose Power

This is the D5 Chart of Ms.Jayalalitha,the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu.There was news recently that  Ms.Sasikala her long time friend and partner planning a coup against Ms.Jayalalitha by poisoning her and taking over as CM of Tamil Nadu.

Also, she had severed ties with Vijayakanth of DMDK her associate in the polls.


Vimsottari dasa running now is Rahu-Mars from 05.08.2011 till 22.08.2012.Mars is retrograde in her birth chart and is in the 5th house of Power and authority from Rahu the Dasa Lord.Mars is with a ashtakavarga strength of 3 in her birth chart which is not favourable.Mars is also the 6 th and 11 th lord for her ascendant and a functional malefic.

Mars is currently transiting over its natal position and natal moon while aspecting natal Sun.Both Sun and Moon are the planets which signify Fame and authority.

Moreover, Mars is also transiting over the A10,A5 and A2. The transit of malefic Mars, being geo stationery till May in Leo,over the mentioned Arudhas clearly shows her state of affairs now. A2 shows wealth and family.Jayalalitha is now facing a court trial for disproportionate assets case and alienation from family,as she treated Sasikala as her own for long.A5 shows authority and fame,both of which are now under pressure due to the Ms Sasikala's issue.A10 shows political power and that too would take a beating now in this transit.
  
Coming to the analysis of the Divisional charts, the D5 chart(which shows Power and Fame) shows Saturn currently transiting in Libra with a Score of 1 out of 8 in Bhinnashtaka varga and a Score of 24 in SAV. This shows her power struggles in this transit of Saturn till November 2nd 2014. How ever with Saturn turning retrograde on February 8th  and transiting into Virgo on May 15th,she might have a respite for a brief period till August 9th.After Saturn re enters Libra in August, the problems will resurface.

With such low scores in BAV and SAV,she might have to retire from political life by end of 2014.

The transit of Saturn is in the Ninth from Sun,Moon in D5 shows separation/alienation from Power.In D5 too the transit Mars is aspecting the natal D5 Sun and Moon.Both Sun and Moon signify Politics and leaders. Saturn has full aspect on A8(which shows Scandals,unexpected troubles,break in power)  which is in Aries in D5 and transiting over A5(Power and authority) in D5.This may result in a break in her regime.

The D8 Chart has Rahu/Ketu in Libra . D8 Shows Litigations and unexpected troubles. Transit of Saturn over Rahu/Ketu shows a coup involving murder and poisoning by servants/employees/assistants.In Ashtamasa Saturn has a BAV strength of 4 and Libra has an SAV of 36 which is favourable.This helps in overcoming the troubles.


The D4 Chart which shows Fortune is positive with regard to the current transit and that is the reason why the coup was detected.In D4, Saturn is transiting now in the 3rd from the natal D4 Moon. It was surprising to note that the coup was informed to Ms.Jaya Lalitha by Mr.Narendra Modi the chief Minister of Gujarat. The third house denotes Brothers !!!. The Positive transit in D4  made her fortunate enough to escape the coup through a brother like Modi.

Transits in D10 Chart  are weak as Saturn transits over the natal D10 moon with a BAV of 3 and the rasi having an SAV of 26 this may effect her regime badly..Transit of Jupiter into the 8 th house from D10 moon might compound the troubles for her.

To conclude: The transits in  D4 are helping her to continue in Power for now but the adverse transits,low scores in D5 show that she might have to retire from Politics by the end of 2014.

Panchamsa( D5) - Rajiv Gandhi

These are the Panchamsa(D5) and Relevant Ashtakavarga charts of Rajiv Gandhi.We all know how suddenly he became the prime minister of  our country.  He became Prime Minister after his mother's sudden death on 31.10.1984.In 1984 on that date Saturn is transiting Libra in which he had an Sarvaashtakavarga Score of 41 out 56 points.Which is abnormally high.Saturn has an individual BAV score of 6 out of 8 which too is abnormally high.

In continuation to my earlier posts on the correlation between the Saturn Transits - SAV Score and Divisional charts,this is another chart to support the observation.

If we observe the transits on that date in D5, We can see Saturn in the 11 th from Natal D5 Moon and Rahu in 6th from Natal D5 Moon.

Let me correlate the strength of Saturn transits vis a vis his Panchamsa SAV Scores.

1.When he was elected to Illinois state senate , Saturn was transiting Pisces aspecting exalted Moon in Taurus and also the fifth house of Power from Moon i.e Virgo in Raasi .In Panchamsa ( D-5), Saturn was transiting the Fifth house from Lagna.The SAV Score is only 22 in Pisces in D5.His journey to Presidency started from there.
2.When he won the election to US Senate on 2nd November,2004,Saturn was transiting Cancer which has a score of 41 out of 56 SAV points in D5 which is very high.He rose to fame in this transit.
3.When he was elected President on 4th November 2008, Saturn was transiting Leo,which has 31 out of 56 SAV Points .Though he was elected as president, he could not enjoy the same powerful position as his predecessors due to the many problems faced by USA.

In D5, In virgo, the SAV Score is only 26 and in the coming transit in Libra it is only 23,which is very less.He was loosing his popularity from the very third month of his becoming the President and in the next election in 2012,he might not be returning to power.

Divisional Charts - Transits - Ashtakavarga

In my experience of reading into some considerable number of charts , i am of the view that Divisional charts are to be treated on par with the Rasi chart.These charts have to be used to analyse the different aspects of life of any native.Though not supported by any classic, i am of the view that Transits and ashtakavargas of Divisional charts have to be used in interpreting horoscopes.

Ayanamsa Used : Lahiri

Here i am trying to just give an overview analysis of his chart using simple ashtakavarga techniques,D Charts and Saturn Transits.I am not analysing the chart from the vimsottari dasa point of view.

Most of us would know that Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple in April this year as he is suffering from pancreatic Cancer.

He has been dignosed with this disease in 2003 itself but could manage till now with a surgery & Liver transplantation.
  
In 2003,Saturn was transiting Gemini.

From the above  D6 and D10 charts and their respective ashtakavarga it can seen that D6 has 33 SAV score in Gemini and D10 has 24 in Gemini when he was first diagnosed as having the disease.He had about 60% favourable transit in D6 and 43% favorable transit in D10.Hence even though he had health trouble he could overcome it by way of surgery and carry on.

At present the transit of Saturn is in Virgo. In D6 he has a Score of 22 in virgo and in D10 he has a SAV Score of 23. These two scores clearly indicate his present problems health wise and also Career wise.

In Raasi Chart too Virgo has an SAV Score of 24 showing turbulence in life in general.
These indicators only give an overview and for specific results we have to make finer analysis based on Dasa and antar dasas.

The period when Saturn transits a Raasi with more than 30 SAV score will be generally good .
I Believe this is applicable for every Divisional chart as well.
