వేదత్రయాన్ని చదువుతుంటారు. గంధర్వులు గానాన్ని చేస్తుంటారు. అప్సరసలు నాట్యం చేస్తుంటారు. నాగులు సూర్య రథాన్ని చుట్టుముట్టి ఉంటారు. యక్షులు రథయోజన చేస్తారు. రాక్షసులు రథాన్ని వెనుకనైపునుండి తోస్తుంటారు. వాలఖిల్యులనే పేరుగల బ్రహ్మర్షులు అరువదివేలమంది రథం ముందు నిలచి సూర్య భగవానునికి అభిముఖులై త్రయీమూర్తిని ప్రస్తుతిస్తుంటారు.

మహాభారతం, ఆదిపర్వంలోని శ్లోకాలలో (65-15,16) చెప్పబడిన పేర్లు:

"ఆదిత్యానామహం విష్ణుః" - ఆదిత్యులలో నేను విష్ణువును - అని భగవద్గీతలో (10-21) చెప్పబడింది.

అజైకపాదుడు - పూర్వాభాద్ర నక్షత్రము

పూర్వాభాద్ర నక్షత్రమునకు అజైకపాదుడు దేవతగా చెప్పబడ్డాడు. అజైకపాదుడుని రుద్ర రూపముగా కొన్ని చోట్ల, ఆదిత్య రూపమని కొన్నిచోట్ల చెప్పబడింది.

आपन्नलोकवृजिनोपशमोदाऽऽद्य शं नः

कृधीश भगवन्नसि दीननाथः ॥ १ ॥

विश्वाय विश्वभवनस्थिति सम्यमाय

स्वैरं गृहीतपुरुशक्तिगुणाय भूम्ने ।

स्वस्थाय शश्वदुपबृंहितवूर्णबोध-

व्यापादितात्मतमसे हरये नमस्ते ॥ २ ॥

आयुः परं वपुरभीष्टमतुल्यलक्ष्मी-

र्द्यौभूरसास्सकलयोगगुणास्त्रिवर्गः ।

ज्ञानं च केवलमनन्त भवन्ति तुष्टा-

त्त्वत्तो नृणां किमु सपत्नजयादिराशीः ॥ ३ ॥

इति श्रीमद्भागवते श्रीवामन स्तोत्रं ।
