This is believed to be the day when Goddess Lakshmi Devi descended on Earth.

1. Sree Sookta Paaraayana or Sravanaa(Listening)
2. Lakshmi devi has to be worshipped with Lotus flowers with Sahasra Naama stotram. Girls has to be gifted cosmetics or New dresses
3. Sarpa Sookta Paaraayana or Sravana has to be done . Naaga pooja has to be done
4.Aswa Sooktam has to be recited or listened.
5. Lord Haya Greeva has to be worshipped by reciting his Stotra. Visit Hayagreeva temple.
